These Terms govern your use of Awkward Pet Photos ("the Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

The Service lets you upload a photo of a pet and receive an AI-generated stylised portrait based on it. Results are produced by third-party AI models and may vary.

2. Account & eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country) to create an account. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your credentials safe.

3. Acceptable use

• Only upload photos of pets you own, or that you have permission to use.
• Do not upload images of identifiable people without their consent.
• Do not upload illegal, hateful, sexual, or otherwise harmful content.
• Do not attempt to bypass the free-trial limit or other technical controls.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

4. Credits, payments & subscriptions

Generations are paid for with credits purchased through our payment provider (Stripe). Prices are shown at checkout and may include applicable taxes. Credits are non-transferable. See the Refund Policy for refund terms.

5. Your content & generated images

You keep ownership of the photos you upload. You grant us a limited licence to process them for the sole purpose of providing the Service. You own the generated images for personal and commercial use, subject to applicable law and the rules of the underlying AI provider.

6. AI disclaimer

Generated images are produced by automated models, are provided "as is", and may contain artefacts or be filtered for safety reasons. We do not guarantee any specific result.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the Service or by email.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway. Disputes will be handled by the courts of that jurisdiction.
